The Secret

I plan on doing an in-depth piece on said book - but first, before I do, I'm wondering - have any of my blog readers read said book?  What were your thoughts and opinions?  Please leave them here - I would love to hear.

i have read said book. have serious doubts, but also can't deny parts. we should discuss this over oversized sandwiches.

i have not actually "read" this book, but i did listen to the entire thing on an audiobook. parts of it are a little illogical, but for the most part i believe that the secret works. two examples of how the secret has worked for me:

(1) a few days after i listened to the book, my grandpa had an aortic aneurysm and was flight for lifed to the hopsital. he almost died. when my dad gave me the news, i never let the thought that he wouldn't get better enter my mind. everytime i visited him in the hospital i just talked to him about stuff we were gonna do when he got out. never let him think about anything other than recovering. now he's out of the hospital and is getting better.

(2) i was at a brewers game with my sister and my dad and i was telling them about the secret and they were making fun of me. i go "i have a really good feeling this guy is going to hit a homerun" and on the next pitch he hit a home run.

i know these stories are kind of G, and i'm not saying that you can just will anything to happen. i know somethings are beyond our control. but my personal belief is that the more you believe in something, the more likely it is to happen. it's not like you can just say "i want to find a million dollars today" and then that will just happen. i think sometimes it takes time. but if you are patient and dedicated and really believe in something, you will usually get what you are after. it's all about confidence.
