Important News Story About Our President

"Obama fills out brackets; who's in his final four?"

This nicely accompanies "Obama's Haircut", "The Obama Dog", "What Michelle Obama Wore", "The Obama Daughters' Chores", "The Obama Daughters' New Swingset", and my personal favorite "What's on Obama's Ipod?".

I'm not criticizing Obama on this one, he just went about his life like a normal person - it's more those really cared to write and read said pieces. It's not to say there aren't pieces like this on every sitting president (although usually not to this extent). Also, not to say there's not other unimportant writing out there that people are paying attention to, such as all celeb gossip, or, ahem, blogs.

However, there's just SOMETHING about this that bugs me. I can't pinpoint exactly why. Hmm.

"although usually not to this extent" really? I think that if the Kennedys had been around during the time of the Internet, it would have been the same thing...perhaps more. Also, maybe you just noticed this because you've only been blogging in the last year. Maybe you're more aware of this simply because you pay attention to what's going on in the news?
Who knows. Maybe you're still bitter about Hillary. zing!

LOL Piper. You're all for calling a spade a spade. Perhaps I didn't fully do historical research on this. And everything you're saying may have some truth to it. And you have a point about the Kennedys - people were even excited about Caroline Kennedy for the senate seat, and her personality made John Kerry seem like Carrot Top. So I'll rephrase: the human interest stories about Obama seem to strongly outnumber those about Bill Clinton and George Bush, if my memory serves me correctly.
