Boy Talk

Miranda said it well.  Whenever I talk to my girlfriends, the conversation usually goes in the direction of, for lack of a better way to put it, 'boy talk'.  Is this kind of conversation pretty much just what is interesting?  Why is that?  What other kind of talk is interesting?  Housework, laundry, mortgages?  I think not.  Gossip?  That is also interesting, but probably isn't any more respectable or intellectually stimulating.
