Don't It Always Seem to Go...
...that you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. I have no interest in American Idol this season. I have the past two weeks in my DVR, and I don't know if I'm going to get around to watching it. Sigh. I'm curious if it will be renewed for next season. I'm curious if Simon misses Idol (and me) like I miss him. So many questions. So few answers.

I'll tell you how American Idol works, so you can erase what's in your DVR (paraphrased from another article i read on this topic):
They start the season with the same number of guys and chicks. The chicks get eliminated and then the safest, most non-threatening guy is crowned American Idol, and all the teenage girls and middle-aged women who voted for him celebrate (and don't buy his music).
Marek, I am floored! This is probably the most accurate, astute comment you've ever made on this blog! (and maybe, in life, as well). This is totally, totally true! I think this helps confirm Paul MacDonald's impending win.
Note that I've never watched American Idol ever, and don't know who this Paul MacDonald is.
Also note that since you're now 28, you're included in the "middle-aged women" category of people who vote for these guys. :)
what's it like being middle aged - can you impart some wisdom, seeing you've already been there....
