...a private facebook profile. I have always had a public one. I have always mocked people for having a private profile, as in they think they are so important/interesting that they need the privacy - as in strangers shouldn't be privy to know their favorite bands.
Now, before you can say anything that it's been stupid of me to have a public facebook thus far, 1) I do not have anything inappropriate up of myself and B) I am already 'facebook friends' with all of management at my company. So....
However, a part of me is thinking it might be time for me to take on an air of mystery. Thoughts?!

I've had a private profile for almost 3 years. This is mostly due to the fact that I work in a school and I really don't care to have students friend me and have access to photos of me, wall posts, etc. So that is why I am hidden. I also had some problems with random creeps messaging me.
Of course, if I hadn't accepted a message from a random guy in the past, I wouldn't have a boyfriend today, but I like to think of those days as the good old days of facebook, when it was confined mostly to your college. Not like now, when all the riff-raff can get at you.
I also work with children and don't need parents knowing my business. Second, I want to know who is checking out my business! If they can see mine, I want to see theirs! Private is the way to go!
