i know a few people who went into psychiatry and/or psychology. one of them just finished her doctor's degree in psychology, but she is probably one of the most mentally unstable people i've ever met. i guess i don't really understand the difference between psychologists and psychiatrists. is it that psychiatrists are allowed to give out drugs? anyway, i've always thought the idea of paying someone to listen to your problems is kind of a weird idea. it's kind of like friendship prostitution. my parents tried to take me to a psychologists when i was younger (or maybe it was a psychiatrist?) and i flipped out.
