Your thoughts on the snuggie?
Someone had to bring it up. It seems to be the biggest informercial fad as of late. Jay Leno calls them the 'opposite of lingerie'. Hmm.

They look like the official uniform for some new age, hey let's drink this kool-aid and wait for that UFO behind the comet to carry us away to Nebulon, cult!!! Seriously, the people in those commercials look like they're about to sacrifice something that for the moment is still breathing!! Scary!!!! What have we come to when we need sleeves in our blankets? Is it so cold, and are we so lazy that we can't extend a bare arm to get a drink or the remote? I think we need to let it all hang out and start putting sleeves in everything; towels, table cloths, drapes, shower curtains. Wait, now that I think about it this isn't such a bad idea.
Jim got me a snuggie for Valentine's day. I think they are the coolest things ever and I am super excited about using it.
I love my snuggie! I got one because I am perpetually cold and when I'm on the couch with my blanket with no arm holes but want to drink tea, coffee, cola, it kinda sucked. We have a balconette that winter air perpetually got through. If I wanted to sit in the living room, it required hooded sweatshirts Not fun. The snuggie is the awesomeness.
BTW, interesting side bar. In 3 months its sold over $20 million dollars in merchandise. I kick myself that I didn't come up with this idea.
It's essentially like wearing a bathrobe backwards.
i like my backwards bathrobes. i tried that for a period last year but kept spilling things on the cute ass fuzzy sheep affixed to my cheap Target bathrobe. I feel emotionally connected to those sheep (with their long eyelashes and big eyes and what not), not so much to my solid blue snuggie.
the two best infomercial products ever have to the Snuggie and the Shamwow... i wonder if it's possible to combine the two, and make a single, super-absorbent robe?
