My Boys was canceled.

I can't say I'm shocked.  This season wasn't as exciting as the past ones.  Maybe it's because of the relationships.  Like the Steph/Kenny tension was gone; the PJ/Bobby tension was gone.  Kind of like the Office dragged when Jim and Pam finally got together.  Some might blame the lack of Jim Gaffigan (PJ's brother, and probably the most well-known prior to the show), but his character never did anything for me really.  I know he's a somewhat successful stand-up comic (I'm not familiar with his work), but I don't know that he was really some shining star.   I think another part of the problem is the little 'seasons' were so few and far between - people got too used to living without it; it wasn't as 'needed' as it should have been.

Oh well.  Sigh.  I must say, by my non-expert standards - this was definitely TBS's most successful self-created show.  I think my favorite part was when Bobby got laid off from the Trib.  Sigh.  The memories and DVDs will last a lifetime.

'Love Bites'.

Ok, as long as it doesn't interfere with My Boys (which seems to already be a little late....)

Where the Heck is this Show?

I really like this show. It's, again, far and away the best original program TBS has come up with (EVER). Not that I'm qualified to judge, as though I've watched every original TBS show on the air. In fact, I don't think I can sit through an episode of most of their other crap. Anyone remember 'She's a Lady'? Or that one created by Cox-Arquette that documented some British person coming to America? Epic fails.

Anyhow.

The one thing I don't like about My Boys is that it comes around for such a short stint. It's ridiculous. It's gone all year then comes back for six to eight episodes? Come on, TBS, it's not like you have BETTER PROGRAMING. Are the 'My Boys' writers really THAT BUSY?

Sigh. Anyhow. Apparently, it is coming back soon (perhaps in June)...according to some rumors. Last year, it came back on this day, exactly. Why make us wait so long, TBS? Why so long?

Celebrity Crushes....

So I've been known to have, at times, unconventional taste in the men department (believe me, ask ANY of my female friends on this one). Who are my celebrity crushes, you might ask? See above. Top down - Jon Bon Jovi (well, 20 years ago), Paul Rudd, and, as of lately, Reid Scott (Brando on My Boys). HOT. I don't hear many other girls talking about Reid Scott - maybe I can have him. He used to have a thing for PJ, a single Sun-Times employee living in Chicago, so I really think I'm his type.
