New Jargon

So, the other day, one of my commenters introduced me to some new jargon. (Thanks, Marek.)

FWIW

I had to google. Apparently, it stands for 'for what it's worth' or 'for whoever is wondering'.  (Which did you mean, Marek?) I hadn't heard it used before, but there were quite a few search results. Apparently it's already caught on. I'm glad to now be in the loop. And since you've read this post, you are now as well. You're welcome.

Over-Used Buzz Word that Annoys Me

Handcrafted.

It's everywhere.  My sandwich was handcrafted.  Really?  That's so shocking.  I thought there were robots with a conveyor belt.   My mojito was handcrafted?!  And I thought there was a packet of 'instant mojito', starbucks via style.

Does something being 'handcrafted' really add appeal?  My inner germophobe feels secretly relieved to think as few individuals as possible had a 'hand' in anything I'm about to consume.  Maybe that's just me.

Nevermind me as I search for a restaurant with the robots and conveyor belt....

Cosmo and I are on the same page! In the 'in' column - resetting (?). It's apparently the new term of optimism for starting from scratch, as in, a do-over. I am not sure how I feel about this word, but I like the meaning behind it.

Now, while we're at it - the term 'buzzword'....
